Targeting and Shot Settlement
Each shot fired in Mega Fishing represents a bet. When a projectile hits a fish, the game calculates the "health" of that creature. Once enough shots hit a specific target, the fish is captured, and the corresponding multiplier is applied to your current bet amount, settling the win instantly.
Bet Control Mechanics
Players can adjust their bet value per shot using the on-screen controls. Higher bets typically increase the damage dealt to fish, making it easier to capture larger targets. For those wanting more consistency, many versions of the game offer an "Auto-Fire" or "Lock-On" feature to maintain focus on a single target.
Special Feature Triggers
During the hunt, special items or "Boss" fish may swim across the screen. These are triggered randomly by the game engine. Capturing a boss fish often activates a screen-clearing effect or a massive multiplier payout, providing a high-impact break from the standard fish-hunting loop.
Reading the Payouts
Wins are not read on a payline but through multipliers tied to each fish species. Small fish provide frequent, low-value wins, while rare golden fish or sharks provide infrequent but substantial payouts. All current values for the creatures can be found in the game's internal help menu.
